The Environment Agency

Description of work

The Environment Agency engaged the engineering division of Drilcorp Borehole Engineering Services to conduct CCTV surveys on 18 boreholes across a number of sites. The purpose of the surveys was to confirm the construction details of each borehole including depth, diameter, type and location of casing and to report on the condition of each borehole, identifying any construction issues or damage.

How the work was carried out

The work was carried out with a 100mm diameter pan & tilt camera and a 25mm diameter mini camera connected to a winch with 300m of cable. Video footage was fed to a computer with control unit and DVD recording equipment. The work was carried out successfully and a written factual report giving all needed information along with a DVD for each borehole was provided to the Environment Agency.
