Estimator

Job
To use industry experience and knowledge to provide detailed estimates for client projects, including cost
estimates, work time estimates, and overall customer satisfaction.
To maintain existing client contracts and continuously seek out new clients and estimating opportunities.

Job Duties

  • Prepare cost budgets and cost estimates for new contracts
  • Keep existing contracts up to date, including making amendments, providing new cost estimates,
    and maintaining communication with the client
  • Adhere to company standards and guidelines when analysing and providing estimations; focus on
    maximising profit and customer satisfaction, while minimising any potential risks to the company
  • Prepare detailed, well-written proposals for each client, adhering to client guidelines while offering
    competitive and comprehensive cost estimates, and including supplementary documentation
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients keeping a sales-minded attitude, and seek out and
    build relationships with new clients
  • Work with contracts manager and design team to help with development, innovation, and
    creativity on client projects
  • Keep detailed records of all estimation documentation, including site assessments and contract
    terms; update any existing contracts immediately upon agreement of new terms with client
  • Prepare and submit financial documents
  • Balance multiple proposals and estimations at once, ensuring each reaches the client by the
    deadline
  • Liaise with other company departments to maintain business development and continuously
    innovate new profitable outcomes

Service Engineer

Drilcorp Ltd is a waterwell drilling and engineering specialist company based in Seaham County Durham.

Due to an increase in orders our small family business is looking to expand.

We are looking for a Service Engineer with experience in the water industry to join our Borehole Engineering Division. The role will require the following skills:

  • Installation / Service Engineer with electrical experience ideally
  • Experience in the borehole and water treatment, sectors ideally.
  • Keen to develop and progress career - ambitious, highly motivated
  • Learn new skills

The company provides service and repair work on boreholes and the filtration required to provide potable water. We require an engineer with an electrical background to provide installation and service on a range of water treatment and filtration products. The role will be to predominantly work as a service / installation engineer, fault finding and on breakdowns. Install, service and maintain water treatment.

Candidates must be able to work to strict Health and Safety Standards at all times. The ideal candidate will have the following personal qualities.

Borehole Engineer

The Company
Borehole Engineering Services (BES) is a division of Drilcorp an expert waterwell drilling company based in Seaham County Durham and working throughout the United Kingdom. BES provides a specialist service to borehole owners in all aspects of borehole maintenance including: Licensing, Aquifer Testing, Water Analysis and Treatment, Submersible Pump Installation and Commissioning, Development, CCTV and Verticality Survey, Chemical and Mechanical Cleaning, Relining and Refurbishment and Abandonment and Decommissioning.

The Position
Our Borehole Engineers work in small teams throughout the UK and due to the nature of the work, must be prepared to work flexible hours and be prepared to travel and stay away from home. Successful candidates must have a full driving licence and must be physically fit as much of the work necessitates operating in confined spaces. Computer literacy is essential along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office as operation records are sent to the project management team electronically each day. This opportunity involves a wide range of tasks as indicated above. The Company has an internal training scheme for job specific operations however candidates with any of the following qualifications will be favoured for the position;

  • BS7671 - 17th Edition, Electrical Installation 2360 Parts 1 & 2.
  • Ideally Electrical Regulations BS7671 Inspection, Test & Verification would be beneficial.
  • An engineering apprenticeship with 2 years’ experience in the water or associated industries where the installation and servicing of water pumping and distribution equipment.

Rotary Driller

Experienced SI Rotary and Cable Percussion Lead Drillers Required Permanent Position

We would like to recruit experienced Lead drillers

The right candidates will hold a full clean drivers licence and NVQ level 2 drilling qualification.

Rates of pay are negotiable depending on experience.

Yard Operative

Due to an increased workload, we are currently seeking a yard operative to assist with the preparation of mechanical plant for delivery, maintenance and clean down on return.

Some previous employment in the Engineering, Drilling, Construction or Maintenance industries would be an advantage, however not essential, as basic training will be provided.

This role will be based at our main site in County Durham but there will be some requirement to travel to sites as and when required.

Responsibilities for this role will be:

  • Assisting in the preparation of mechanical plant prior to site delivery
  • Pre-delivery inspection of machinery
  • Preparation and maintenance of yard/depot vehicles and equipment
  • Ensuring safe operation of all vehicles and equipment in the yard
  • Assistance with Stock Control of all components in the yard
  • Ensuring safe and correct storage of all components in the yard

Your duties may change to meet the business needs or you may be required to work in other equivalent roles, as the company may reasonably require.
To be considered for this role you must demonstrate the following:

  • Have a flexible attitude to work and be prepared to undertake a variety of tasks
  • Be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Be prepared to work within a team
  • Be computer literate with a good knowledge of stock control systems, purchase orders etc

Due to the location of the business you must have a full driving licence.

Your working hours will be Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:30pm with a 4pm finish on a Friday with 2x 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch break.

Salary: £17,000.00 /year
