Drilling Rigs
A drilling rig is a machine that creates holes (usually called boreholes) and shafts in the ground. Drilling rigs can be massive structures housing equipment used to drill water wells, oil wells,or they can be small enough to be moved manually by one person. Rigs are used to sample sub-surface mineral deposits, test rock, soil and groundwater physical properties, and also can be used to install sub-surface fabrications, such as underground utilities, instrumentation, tunnels or wells.
There are a variety of drill mechanisms which can be used to sink a borehole into the ground. Each has its advantages and disadvantages, in terms of the depth to which it can drill, the type of sample returned, the costs involved and penetration rates achieved.
Drilcorp have a range of drilling equipment that each have their own unique qualities, making them suitable for different applications in a variety of substrates.
Drilcorp have many years of experience in the drilling industry and have acquired some of the best rigs available for their chosen field, ensuring the best rig is used for the specific client needs.
